Dale Charles the man with the fountain of youth first came to our attention in 1992 when we he heard his tape Oscillation (sadly lost somewhere along the line).
What kind of tunes were on his tape Oscillation?
Dale played an original mix of high class progressive house, mixed with the very best of percussive breakbeat and extraordinary bhangra house demonstrating what an amazing original sound he had developed and blowing our party up in London “One Love” which got busted but successfully moved to the on campus university bar at the WAVE nighclub on UWO campus where the club and staff had never seen such a friendly and well natured crowd.
In fact the campus police attended to check it out and said the following:
“We conducted regular checks on the party and found everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves” said University Police Sgt Bob Earle as you can read in the article above. Bob was spot-on… of course the first Better Days attendees were getting on down after the party got busted by the fire marshal and moved to the University campus and fair play to Bob for being so cool.
Dale Charles cemented his reputation as a Better Days DJ from then on
Dale proceeded to play at many, many of our events and here are two of his best recordings clearly demonstrating his class.
